On August 14, DongA Ilbo reported that the previous surveillance footage revealed by another media outlet was not of BTS's SUGA.
DongA Ilbo released new surveillance footage showing SUGA riding an electric scooter on a sidewalk around 11:10 PM KST on August 6. The newly released video offered a clearer view of SUGA on the scooter, providing a better view of the incident.
The new video clearly shows SUGA riding his scooter and falling on the sidewalk after hitting a bump. After his fall, a group of patrol officers are seen coming to his aid.
Korean netizens commented:
"It's lucky he didn't hit anyone, but does he think he has multiple lives? So foolish and pathetic. Fans who support someone after seeing such disgraceful drunk driving behavior must have an embarrassingly low level of intelligence."
"Truly pathetic."
"They say they didn't even know he was a celebrity in the first place, so why do they keep bringing up the 'if he was just an ordinary person' argument? He got caught as an ordinary person."
"Isn't he embarrassed, especially being a well-known face?"
"He wasn't even wearing the helmet properly, just had it perched on his head, lol."
"Maybe he was trying to check on things after the scooter skidded across and he fell over."
"Did he think he would be let off? Why is he acting so confident? The world isn’t all on your side."
"Wow, it's honestly a miracle he wasn't hurt. It looks really dangerous."
"Him falling over is freaking hilarious, ugh, lol."
"He's in the wrong, but some people are still like, 'Well, but...' while trying to defend him—so funny."
"I seriously dislike both him and his fans, lol."
"Looks like he just perched the helmet on his head because it fell off when he toppled over... was it just for show?"
"He claimed he wasn't on the sidewalk, but clearly that wasn't the case... such a pathetic excuse."
"Driving a scooter on the sidewalk with a blood alcohol level of 0.227, totally wasted... even if he was just an ordinary person, he would've been absolutely ripped apart for this."
"From the video, it seems like the security guards weren't following him. They were on their patrol when they came across Suga, who fell ahead of them and then went to help."
