BTS's Jimin Continues to Shine in the U.S. with Unwavering Success
Jimin's pre-release track "Set Me Free Pt.2" from his first solo album "FACE" has sold over 500,000 units in the U.S., earning a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
"Set Me Free Pt.2" has captivated audiences with its intense and powerful choreography, coupled with artistic expression. The song has surpassed 151 million views on YouTube and has achieved over 372 million streams on Spotify, maintaining strong popularity even as an album track.
Jimin's solo album "FACE," which includes "Set Me Free Pt.2," became the first non-English (Korean) album by an Asian solo artist to sell over 500,000 units in the U.S., earning Gold certification from the RIAA on July 5. The title track "Like Crazy" has sold over 1 million units as of August 2023, but due to a delayed application by his agency, it received Platinum certification in December.
Additionally, Jimin's collaboration on the main theme song "Angel Pt.1" for the Hollywood film 'Fast X: Ride or Die' has also sold over 500,000 units in the U.S., reinforcing his exceptional digital music power.
Jimin, referred to as "Jimmerica" (Jimin+America), enjoys immense popularity in the U.S. Furthermore, his three solo tracks from BTS albums ("Lie" "Serendipity Full Length" and "Filter") have each sold over 500,000 units, setting a new record as the first Korean solo artist to achieve this milestone.
