Former AKB48 member Takahashi Juri, who re-debuted as a member of the K-Pop girl group Rocket Punch in 2019, has announced her departure from the team.

On May 24 KST, Rocket Punch's label Woollim Entertainment announced Juri's departure from the group as a result of her exclusive contract termination. Rocket Punch will promote from here on as a 5-member group.

Meanwhile, Rocket Punch most recently promoted with their 3rd single album, 'Boom', in September of last year.

It's a shame her decision to enter Kpop was not successful. Rocket Punch had promise on debut but recently have been next to invisible. In as much as Woolim Ent did a good job with Lovelyz they did a poor job with Rocket Punch. I wish her the best.

I wonder if she possibly just doesn't want to be an idol anymore. She has basically been an idol her entire life similar to sakura. She was jpop idol in akb than she graduated from that. Than she joined rocket punch and was a k idol. I read her contract was up and maybe she decided she's done with that now and wants to other things that's why some idols decide to do acting and other things.
