Phunky Studio, the production company behind 'My Teenage Boy / Fantasy Boys' (hereafter 'My Teenage Boy'), has announced plans for strong legal action against Yu Jun Won, who is secretly preparing for a fan meeting. On May 29, Phunky Studio declared its intention to legally confront Yu Jun Won for violating his contract by secretly organizing the fan meeting.
Yu Jun Won, who initially secured a debut spot in the Fantasy Boys group by ranking first in MBC's 'My Teenage Boy', had previously clashed with the studio over demands for a higher profit-sharing rate and unauthorized team departure. This conflict has been cited as one of the worst precedents in audition program history. Yu Jun Won unsuccessfully filed for an injunction to suspend the effectiveness of his exclusive contract with Phunky Studio.
Despite losing the legal battle, Yu Jun Won is reportedly still preparing a fan meeting in secret. In response, Phunky Studio aims to identify the fan meeting’s production company and is planning to send formal notices and file for an injunction against the performance. They criticized Yu Jun Won's actions as being utterly unconscionable towards the other Fantasy Boys members.
Although Kim Kwang Soo, the CEO of Fantasy Boys' agency PocketDoll Studio, has expressed willingness to discuss Yu Jun Won's return and persuade Phunky Studio despite the legal issues, Yu Jun Won has continued to be non-responsive. Assuming no intent to return, Phunky Studio has filed a lawsuit seeking 3 billion won in damages against him. The first court hearing for this damages lawsuit is scheduled for June 27. Phunky Studio emphasized that this case should prevent similar incidents in the entertainment industry going forward.

These new idols/trainees are going to have to stop playing around with these agencies. These companies are about to start suing like crazy to make up all the training costs.
They need good legal support when reading these contracts, especially as minors. Because it doesn’t seem the parents are and they’re the ones telling their kids to fight against their signed contracts. Like what?!
