Shinhwa's Eric personally spoke up about his recent viral photo and speculation about his health.

As previously reported, a recent photo of the 44-year-old star went viral as fans were shocked to see the difference in his appearance since they last saw him. Eric has been known for his handsome looks since his debut, and his recent appearance shook up fans. Insiders then responded to the subsequent speculation about his health, clarifying he was not sick at all.  

On December 15, Eric personally wrote to fans on Instagram, saying, "The picture is in the early days of starting parenting, so it was when I wasn't sleeping very well. It was embarrassing to refuse to take a photo because I was asked to at a meet-up, but is the photo really that strange? I don't think I look that bad. I've gone up to 98kg (216lbs) in weight before. My family of three is doing well. Thank you for worrying about me."

Eric married actress Na Hye Mi in 2017, and they both welcomed their first son in March of this year.
