BLACKPINK's Jennie is making a significant mark as a solo artist as she has become one of South Korea's leading artists. Recently, Jennie achieved a major milestone by reaching 1 Billion streams on Spotify across all her credits. Impressively, she's the first female K-Pop solo artist to reach this feat without releasing a solo album.

Jennie, despite having only three songs, has remarkably achieved 500 million streams in just one year. This impressive feat has created a lot of excitement about her future, especially as fans eagerly anticipate her solo album, which they have been waiting for years.

Jennie's songs are seeing a remarkable increase in popularity, with thousands of new listeners daily on her Spotify profile. From the start, her monthly listeners have skyrocketed, reaching an impressive peak of 25,574,936. This achievement makes her the only Korean female solo artist to ever reach this number. Additionally, Jennie and her BLACKPINK bandmate Lisa are the only female K-pop soloists to cross the 25 million monthly listener mark on Spotify. This achievement highlights their individual popularity and influence, which goes beyond their collective success in BLACKPINK.

Congratulations BLACKPINK's JENNIE!

This shows the worrisome and decaying state of Kpop nowadays. Before, one needed to at least release songs to be successful in the music industry. One could lipsync every performance, put a ghost singer to record the song, not have an ounce of talent for music, but they need to the bare minimum of releasing songs. Now a 7+ year “artist” with 2 songs is breaking record, all through media play, doing modeling and influencer stuff and a mindless fandom
