On September 23, New York City's iconic Central Park became the epicenter of musical talent and global advocacy. The park played host to the '2023 Global Citizen Festival,' an event that champions worldwide causes.
Among the star-studded lineup, K-pop sensations Stray Kids (3RACHA) and BTS's golden maknae, Jungkook, took the stage. Originally, Stray Kids was scheduled to perform, but due to the minor car accident involving Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Seungmin, the lineup was changed to the subunit 3RACHA. Their performances not only showcased their musical prowess but also reflected their commitment to global issues. Fans and attendees were treated to a mesmerizing blend of music and purpose, further solidifying the event's reputation as a nexus of entertainment and activism.
According to Globalcitizen, the 2023 Global Citizen Festival campaign takes aim at the major issues perpetuating extreme poverty, including the impacts of climate change on the Global South, the inequities affecting women and girls around the world, and the global hunger crisis, and will call on governments to protect and defend advocates everywhere.
Check out 3RACHA (starting at the 2 hour mark) and Jungkook's (starting at the 2 hour 49 minute mark) performances below.
