The idol who finally debuted after rejecting SM's casting offer 4 times

In the competitive world of K-pop, many aspiring to become the next popular idol aim to debut with the biggest entertainment companies in South Korea. HYBE, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment are the Big 4 companies that have been the powerhouse of K-pop idols over the years.
Those who dream of stardom consider these prominent entertainment agencies as a gateway to fame. To be cast by one of these agencies is an opportunity that not anyone can turn down.
But it turns out an idol turned down SM Entertainment's offer four times before accepting the casting and debuting with their rookie boy group.
RIIZE's Eunseok recently grabbed everyone's attention when it was revealed he rejected SM Entertainment's recruitment, not only once, but four times.
It was revealed that Eunseok was initially cast on the streets but rejected the following recruitments each time. But thanks to the label's persistence, Eunseok caved in and debuted with RIIZE.
Translation: "Eunseok, even if you use your face like that, I made up my mind after I saw you in person yesterday. I want to kill all the cameras in the world. Everyone was heart-aching for Eunseok at the location."
K-netizens commented, "He's so good looking," "Oh I didn't know he did that," "I understand why SM didn't give up," "He has the SM face," "He kind of looks like Na In Woo," "He looks so much better in the videos than the photos," "I think he would be really good looking in person," "I saw him on the streets before he debuted but he really had the face of a celebrity. He was really eye-catching," and "I guess SM really wanted to cast him so bad."
I'm curious about the debut rate of idols cast on the street vs idols who pass talent auditions. There must be plenty of good looking teens who aren't able to learn how to sing or dance that well, or just don't have the discipline. I guess there must be a decent success rate, or else the company would stop wasting money training so many people.

PR team of SM are all trying so hard to frame this group as a visual team but lets be real they are all average to ugly. Isn't there a controversy of them being too photoshopped and edited when they debuted? People got disappointed after seeing them in some Live video
