Actor Lee Seo Jin has chosen to part ways with his agency of 9-years, Hook Entertainment.
On September 28 KST, Hook Entertainment confirmed in a statement to various media outlets, "Hook Entertainment's contract with actor Lee Seo Jin will come to an end at the end of September. We would like to sincerely thank Lee Seo Jin for being with us for such a long time, and we hope to always cheer him on in our hearts."
Lee Seo Jin, who debuted in the 1999 drama 'A House on the Waves', is known and loved by viewers as the "persona" of the variety PD Na Young Suk.
Meanwhile, Hook Entertainment previously became embroiled in a highly publicized contract dispute with singer Lee Seung Gi in November of 2022, facing allegations of deceiving Lee Seung Gi for 18-years about his earnings as a singer. Soon afterward, not only Lee Seung Gi but also top artists like actress Youn Yeo Jung departed from the label.

I'm expecting the gradual departure of established artists from Hook as their contracts expire, I can't imagine that after seeing what happened to Lee Seung Gi, that anyone who wasn't desperate would want to sign with them.
