BLACKPINK's Jisoo gained attention by personally attempting to purchase tickets for her group's upcoming concert.
General ticket sales for the Seoul finale of BLACKPINK's 'BORN PINK' world tour opened on September 1 KST. As the first Gocheok Dome concert by a K-pop female act and BLACKPINK's first domestic concert since last October, the event is heavily anticipated by Korean fans. Needless to say, competition was high.
That same day, Jisoo took to Weverse to talk directly to fans, saying, "I also really want to try [getting tickets], so I went online and entered 'BLACKPINK concert,' then when they asked me to sign up and verify my identity, so I did, but it still keeps asking me to verify it. [...] How do you do that on your cellphone? They kept telling me I could make purchases after authenticating, but I've already authenticated five times. Please let me know."
Once she was able to make it past the identity verification portion of the ticketing process, the tickets were unfortunately already sold out. "The seats are all grayed out. I can't select anything," Jisoo shared with her fans. "I was finally able to see the seating chart, and now there are no more seats!"
A fan commented that it was already too late as the seating chart became a 'snowfield,' a joking slang for when all seats are unavailable and greyed out on the chart. In response, Jisoo commented, "Frigid. But after the canceled tickets become available again, I want to get the best possible seat to raffle off. Wouldn't that be awesome?"
Another fan requested that the netting on the fourth floor of Gocheok Dome be removed for the show. Jisoo admitted that she was not entirely sure what they meant by that, but she would make sure the request was communicated.
"In BLACKPINK's case, even Gocheok Dome is small," another fan complimented in response to how quickly the concerts sold out. "While those are really kind words, it's shocking," Jisoo admitted in response. "There are no more seats left!"
Finally, after one fan told her that they secured a spot at the concert, Jisoo joked that she did too. "How great! I've got a spot on stage," she teased, obviously referring to being the performing artist. "[The spot is so close that] I can even see the members' nostrils."
Jisoo is so funny
