PURPLE K!SS has announced the dates and location for their first U.S. tour 'The Festa Tour in USA.' The six-member group, which debuted in 2021 under RBW, will kick off their U.S. tour on October 31 in Boston.
The group will then travel to other cities, including New York City, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Columbus, Detroit, Louisville, Nashville, and more.
Meanwhile, PURPLE K!SS is also gearing up to release their 1st single album 'Festa' on September 5 at 6 PM KST!
There are a lot of fixed overheads in a tour - like flights from South Korea to the U.S. for all the members and all the support staff, visas, etc. The more stops you do the lower the "fixed overheads per stop" becomes making it easier to make a profit.
Leo Presents have been doing a strategy where they have groups tour 20-30 venues with capacity of a couple hundred seats each, with a tour bus between stops to save on flights also. This lets smaller groups make a profit even if they aren't popular enough to sell a substantial number of tickets at larger 2k-4k capacity venues.
If they sell tickets + extras + merch of $100 per person on average and have 300 people venues, that is still $30k of revenue per stop, which can their cover their costs and give some profit.
I like how RBW is doing lots of good moves in sequence right now, hopefully the number of Plorys will increase a lot this year. It's ridiculous that such a pretty and high-skilled group have such a small fanbase. There are a LOT of underrated groups that deserves better.
