A.C.E's Jun will be joining the cast of the musical 'We Are the Champions.'

According to Beat Interactive on August 14 KST, the idol, who was discharged from the military earlier this month, will be playing the role of main character Galileo when the musical opens this September. This will be the first time Jun returns to the musical stage in roughly six years, having previously appeared in the musical 'Peste.'

'We Are the Champions' is a jukebox musical using the hits of legendary U.K. rock band Queen which has already premiered in other regions across the world, accruing over 15 million tickets sold in total. Jun's role, Galileo, is described as a rebellious boy from the future, a period when musical instruments are forbidden and rock music is unknown. However, Galileo rebels against this sentiment and strives to connect with the 'true' music of the past.

Meanwhile, 'We Are the Champions' will run from September 22 to December 31 at The Good Theater in Seoul's Daehak-ro district.
