IU's fans have expressed their outrage over the disorganization within her agency, EDAM Entertainment.
On the morning June 28 KST, a group of IU's fans organized a truck protest in front of the office building of Kakao Entertainment, which is the parent company of EDAM Entertainment.
The trucks displayed messages criticizing the agency, such as "The warehouse situation, hindering the artist's progress, Bae Jong Han's negligence at work—let go now" and "Bae Jong Han's work philosophy of a ghost company with corruption rumors and no phone or fax numbers—no progress in addressing the accusation."
The signs alleged that IU's agency is tarnishing the artist's reputation due to negligent and inadequate response to various issues. This protest is not the first time fans have taken to the streets, as a similar protest occurred in front of the headquarters of EDAM Entertainment in May for the same reasons.
In addition to local fans, some Chinese fans have also voiced their complaints about EDAM Entertainment's poor management of artists and lack of communication with fans. Through this truck protest, they too called for the establishment of an official Weibo account, a reduction in postal delivery fees for albums, and the creation of a communication channel between overseas fans and the agency.
