According to media outlet reports on June 7 KST, DAY6 member Young K is working on his next solo album, set to be released some time in September of this year.
This will mark Young K's first solo music release in approximately 2 years, not to mention his first music release as an artist after completing his mandatory military service. Previously, Young K garnered attention at the time of his enlistment for becoming the first ever K-Pop idol to enlist in the KATUSA (The Korean Augmentation to the United States Eighth Army), a vital army unit which serves as a liaison between the ROK army and the U.S. army stationed in South Korea. The DAY6 member successfully completed his mandatory service on April 11 of this year.
Since then, Young K has been greeting fans by appearing on programs like MBC's 'Idol Radio' and JTBC's 'K-909', as well as live festivals like the '2023 Beautiful Mint Life Festival'. Most recently, it was announced that he will resume his position as the host of 'DAY6's Kiss The Radio' on KBS Cool FM starting on June 19.
Now, it seems that Young K will be returning with new solo music come early fall. Stay tuned, My Day!
Yes to more great music! Excited 🙌
