Taiwanese influencer Molly Chiang apologized after rudely grabbing IU.
On May 19th, Taiwanese influencer Molly Chiang posted a lengthy apology on her Instagram. In her apology post, she wrote, "I want to sincerely apologize for this," "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for the fans who support me, and I'm again sorry for disappointing them."
She then continued, "With the help of a friend who speaks Korean, I translated the apology to IU. I sent it to IU's agency along with the English version." She added, "My action was not appropriate. I should have been more careful, as everyone comes with a different personality, individuality, and culture."
She concluded, "I brought this controversy on myself. I've learned that I shouldn't touch people I don't know. I will make sure to correct this behavior."
Meanwhile, both Molly Chiang and IU attended the Gucci Cruise 2024 fashion show on May 16th. The controversy arose after a clip was posted on Vogue Taiwan's Instagram, which is now taken down. Check out the clip capturing the moment below.
