Hook Entertainment has confirmed that veteran singer Lee Sun Hee has been investigated by the police for embezzlement.

On May 25 KST, the agency released an official statement, writing the following:

"Hello, this is Hook Entertainment.

A police investigation was conducted in relation to the company where artist Lee Sun Hee was the CEO.

Lee Sun Hee will diligently participate in the investigation and actively clarify the relevant facts.

Please do not defame the artist by disparaging them with unconfirmed material.

Thank you."

Meanwhile, earlier that day, Korean media outlet News 1 reported that the National Police Agency's Severe Crime Investigation Division was summoning and investigating Lee Sun Hee on charges of embezzlement.

The police suspect she embezzled funds from One Entertainment, where she served as CEO. One Entertainment was established in 2013 and is her private company which was liquidated last August. The situation was discovered while investigating another alleged embezzlement issue within Hook Entertainment, which Lee Sun Hee belongs to.
