Many might know Sakura from the popular Mnet idol survival program 'Producer 48' which gave birth to IZ*ONE and the K-pop group LE SSERAFIM.

But Sakura's music career started way before 'Produce 48' as she debuted with the Japanese girl group HKT48 in 2011 and was part of the sister group AKB48. She took a 2-year hiatus from the Japanese girl group after she placed second on 'Produce 48,' which led her to promote with IZ*ONE. 

Through her promotions with IZ*ONE, she received immense love and popularity in Korea. After IZ*ONE disbanded in 2021, she also graduated from HKT48 in the same year. In 2022, Sakura took a leap and started a new chapter of her career with LE SSERAFIM.

Although Sakura is part of the rookie idol group LE SSERAFIM, she has many years of experience in the entertainment industry.
