When Wang Yiren left Seoul in January 2022, none of the Everglow fans expected that her break from activities in South Korea will be this long. At first, Yuehua Entertainment announced that Yiren will be staying in China until the end of February. Female Idol was supposed to focus on her academics, and she revealed that she will use the time to meet her family, which she hasn't seen since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
But time sure flies fast, and Yiren's hiatus seemed to be extending to a longer and longer period, and Yiren started to make more and more appearances in Chinese variety shows and dance competitions.
Knowing the history of Chinese Idols, some journalists and fans pointed out that this might mean that Yiren will leave Everglow to focus on her solo career in China.
Today finally, after a 10-month hiatus, Yiren came back to Seoul and was noticed in Incheon Airport by her fan club members. Surprisingly just yesterday, Everglow announced a collaboration song with TheFatRat, which will be released on 18th November.
