On the 13th of October, New York-based magazine Consequence of Sound greeted Jimin a happy birthday by praising him in an article about songs in which he excels in, calling him an undeniable ethereal dancer with incredible stage presence, contemporary dance background, lovely vocals, and a kind-hearted demeanor.

To celebrate, the magazine gathered up 10 of their favorite songs that would keep Jimin's birthday festivities going ahead of The BTS YET TO COME in BUSAN concert, which took place on the 15th of October.

Jimin was remembered for having delivered words of comfort to fans in his Dear Class of 2020 speech when he assured that we have a person in him, in the city of Seoul, who understands us all. Jimin usually creates an atmosphere of joy through his music with BTS and is also a safe place for fans in everything he does.

In the article, the songs that greatly highlight Jimin were expounded on, starting with "Serendipity," saying that it is a very special song from the Love Yourself era, one which suits Jimin's acrobatic vocals and sweet spirit extremely well. The article praised the song as a flirtatious and alluring one, especially on the chorus, wishing for its live performance since each one is a true wonder to behold.

BTS Wings album was the first place where members began recording solo tracks, "Lie" was part of it, and it is a brutally honest, introspective song that, although dark, has been a beacon of hope for many fans throughout. It is a heavy song that deals with the idea of struggling with unwanted feelings or even anguish, depicted well when he desperately cries out in the song, "Caught in a lie/ Pull me from this hell/ I can't be free from this pain/Save me, I am being punished."

"Filter," his solo from the Map of The Soul 7 album, offered fans a look into his psyche; it moved away from the angst of "Lie" and sweetness of "Serendipity" into playful, sexy, and confident borders. The Latin-inspired song featured a wild vocal performance in both studio and live versions, with the heart-stopping live stage sharing his new layers of identity, expression, and equality, inviting fans to explore by picking their favorite filters of Jimin.

"Home" is a song that members have said always allows Jimin to shine vocally; loved by fans, the Map of the Soul: Persona gem was given prominence when BTS performed it on the Jimmy Fallon show in 2020 during the BTS week. The song also was performed on day 4 of the PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE IN LA in the United States, making fans very happy and nostalgic.

"With You" is a moment that marked Jimin's debut on an OST for a TV show, the delicate guitar ballad, which features his longtime friend and vocalist Ha Sungwoon was written for the K-drama Our Blues. It is wonderful that Jimin agreed to be a part of it because he was able to showcase his undeniable vocal range, which went from high to lower register.

The BTS World also gave us some wonderful songs like the soundtrack "Heart beat" and "Dream Glow," which featured Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, and British Pop star Charli XCX. As a perfect fit on the mellow uplifting track, she was able to match the members' energy, notably BTS Jimin's vocals in the second verse where he sings, "My Constellation is of the sun's fragment/A radiant black out, the dance of shadows" with the writer begging for a Jimin x Charli collaboration, especially for PJM1.

"Promise" was Jimin's gift for ARMY and a SoundCloud release. It was also his first self-written solo release outside BTS discography; the sweet hope-filled track encourages ARMY to be their own light. As of 2021, the song remains the most-played song of all time on the platform currently with over 326 Million streams.

"Friends" is a subunit track with BTS member V, it talks about their friendship and was performed for the first time on the online MOTS: ONE concert in their school uniforms. The song was described as very special and one that feels tender with every listen. Hollywood director Chloé Zhao who is Jimin biased and likes the song, even chose it for Marvel's "Eternals" Blockbuster as a soundtrack.

The article went on to add that it is indeed hard not to associate "Black Swan" with Jimin; this is because on stage and in the MV, his ballet and contemporary dance backgrounds were properly utilized, showing admirable results. He embodies the character through his prodigious movement skills; looking at footage from the MV and his pas de deux with Jungkook, it's easy to see how strongly he is connected to the song, making one feel like he is doing what he was meant to whenever he performs it.

Last but not least, since Jimin outrightly shines in all of BTS's tracks, was the "Epilogue: Young Forever." The incredibly emotional song captures a time in BTS' career and youth that resonates with each of them powerfully.  The song is likened to a time capsule that will be revisited by them in the future, and when they performed "Young Forever" at Wembley stadium, Jimin felt an overwhelming wave of love, support, and comfort from fans enforcing his will to continue his work as an artist.
