BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" dance performance video surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube, extending its own record as the only dance video to reach this figure in the history of the platform.
YG Entertainment released an article after learning of the new milestone achieved by the dance performance video for "How You Like That."
It has been approximately two years and one month since its release in July 2020. This is the first and highest number of views in K-pop for a choreography video.
This song, with its strong rhythm and performance, won the 'Song of the Summer' at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards in the US, and in the same year, it ranked first on YouTube's 'Global Top Summer Song.' At the time of its release, it was number two on the Spotify Global Top 50 chart and number one on iTunes in 64 countries. It also peaked at number 20 and 33 on the UK Official Singles Top 100 and the US Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
This is BLACKPINK’s fourth official video on YouTube to surpass 1.2 billion views. Their three other music videos that have reached this milestone are “DDU-DDU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” and “BOOMBAYAH.”
The first time BLACKPINK held the record for the most viewed dance performance video on Youtube was in February of this year, when the video hit 1 billion views.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK for making history again.
