Global boy group Seventeen have set yet another impressive number of album sales with their latest release!
On May 27 KST, Seventeen returned to the scene with their highly-anticipated album 'Face The Sun' with "HOT" serving as its title track. On June 2, the final first week sales count for the boy band's most recent album ended, and it accumulated over 2 million copies sold in the first week of release according to the data released by the Hanteo chart.
'Face The Sun' has now become the band's highest-selling album in first week sales, surpassing 'Your Choice's album sales in the first week, which sold around 1.3 million copies on Hanteo.
In addition, on its first day of release, 'Face The Sun' sold a whopping 1.7 million copies copies, setting a new personal record for Seventeen; the number of sales was doubled from the group's previous album record holder 'Your Choice,' which sold around 800,000 copies on the first day.
This now makes Seventeen a double million-seller. Another act that achieved this is BTS, meaning Seventeen has become the second-ever act in Hanteo's history to hit the 2 million mark within the first week of release.
In other news, the boys just took their first music show trophy for "HOT" on Mnet's 'M! Countdown.'
Congratulations to Seventeen!
A really good comeback for Seventeen!
