Chanyong has announced he will be getting married.
On April 28 KST, the former 100% member, now of pre-debut boy group FAVE1, made the announcement by posting a handwritten letter in both Korean and Japanese on FAVE1's official homepage.
"I have something I want to tell my fans directly, and I decided to write it because I thought I should be the first to tell my fans and not too late," he began. "I have someone who I want to be with for the rest of my life. After meeting this woman, I gained trust and decided to get married based on that trust."
"It was decided to hold the ceremony privately by inviting family and close acquaintances. I think the direction I will be taking is as important as the path I've taken thus far, so I'm trying to live my life responsibly as the head of a family even more than I am now," he added.
He then updated fans on his health, mentioning the panic disorder he had been dealing with.
"I've been treating panic disorder and panic attacks, but as many of you have seen, I've unintentionally shown a lot of pain from some panic attacks that occurred during my schedules," he explained. "There may be difficulties participating in future activities, but I will focus on recovery and try to stand in front of you as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, Chanyong debuted in 2012 with the group 100%. Last year, the group disbanded following the expiration of their contracts. However, he and former 100% members Rokhyun, Hyukjin, and Jonghwan have reunited under the group name FAVE1 and plan to promote mainly in Japan.
That's wonderful 😊 congrats!
