On April 11, EPEX released their third mini-album, 'Prelude of Anxiety Chapter 1: 21st Century Boys,' featuring the title track "Anthem of Teen Spirit."
On this day, the boy group released the music video to their title track and quickly became a hot topic on various social media platforms such as Twitter. This is because netizens found that the boy group referred to 'Crystal Night' in the lyrics to the song. Many netizens are alleging that the boy group was referring to 'Kristallnacht,' which was a horrible event in which Jewish people were brutally murdered by the Nazis.
Additionally, netizens are claiming that EPEX's stage performance outfits also closely resemble Nazi soldier uniforms.
Some fans contacted one of the songwriters in regards to the problematic lyrics to the song, only to receive a reply telling them to reach out to the group's agency, C9 Entertainment.
Therefore, many are taking it upon themselves to raise awareness and receive a response back from the company.
Pretty obvious that the Kristallnacht was meant. However, I don't think that EPEX should get any hate for this. It's not the boys fault.
