Singer Lee Solomon, who took 3rd place on 'Tomorrow's National Singer,' made a statement after being caught up in a controversy in which he was alleged to have deceived his fans and given the gifts he received from fans to his girlfriend.
On March 16th, Solomon posted a long letter on his official fan cafe with the title "I'm a bit late."
Lee Solomon started off by saying, "I'm sorry and thank you for waiting for me no matter what happened."
He continued to say, "The past week has been the time I need. I am going through a difficult time with things that I still haven't resolved, from facts that I can't fully tell you, rumors that have grown with speculation and exaggeration, things that have happened in my life, and things that are so shameful that I don't even want to talk about them."
Lee Solomon said, "Each phrase is important, so I had time to ponder because each word is precious. Although there will be scars in my life and scars in the lives of those I love, I don't want to blame anyone. I love those who wait for me endlessly and all of you who watch over me with an unchanging heart.”
Finally, Lee Solomon concluded the post by saying, "Once again, I send my sincere apologies and condolences to the people I love the most and the fans who must have had a difficult time and everyone who was hurt because of me."
Earlier, suspicions were raised that Lee Solomon gave the gifts he received from his fans to his girlfriend. Netizen A, who wrote in an online community, said, "Fans sent my (favorite) singer clothes because he didn't seem to have many clothes even if it was four months since he debuted. But then, we found those clothes we gave him on a different Instagram account that seems to belong to his girlfriend." The netizen continued to write, "We requested for an explanation but the singer and his agency have been ignoring them. So the fans started DMing the singer but he's been blocking every single one of them."
In addition, Netizen A claimed that she gifted the singer with a custom microphone worth 26 million KRW (21,186 USD) and tried to put a picture or letter symbolizing his fandom name on the back of the case, but she revealed that the singer refused, saying that he only wants to have his name engraved on it.
The singer referred to by netizen A was revealed to be Lee Solomon, who took third place in 'Tomorrow's National Singer.' Lee Solomon has made a statement about this, but some fans are responding that it is difficult to understand because it contains only vague content without an exact explanation. Therefore, Lee Solomon is continuing to receive criticism despite the apology.
