Former IZ*ONE member Ahn Yu Jin has fully recovered from COVID-19.
It was previously revealed on September 4 that Ahn Yu Jin had tested positive for COVID-19 and entered a treatment center to focus on her recovery. On September 16, Starship Entertainment released an official statement on their official Twitter page, updating fans about Ahn Yu Jin's full recovery.
Below is Starship Entertainment's official statement:
"Hello,
This is Starship Entertainment.
We would like to inform you that our artist Ahn Yu Jin has received notice of her full recovery from COVID-19.
Back on September 4, Ahn Yu Jin entered the hospital treatment center and followed quarantine guidelines after testing positive.
Following the medical professionals' final judgment that there is no more risk of [Ahn Yu Jin] spreading COVID-19 to others, her quarantine measures were lifted, and she was discharged. Ahn Yu Jin is currently taking a break after leaving the hospital, and we will place the artist's health as our priority before proceeding with our schedules.
We will continue to follow the quarantine guidelines of the health authorities, and we promise to prioritize the health of our artists and staff members."
Happy that Yujin is well. As a consolation, she and Wonyoung are now 'relatively immune'. But that matters coz the entertainment industry has an unavoidably high risk to exposure.
