On May 28, BeLift Lab and HYBE360 issued a statement of apology for a design error found in ENHYPEN's upcoming fan meeting DVD package.
Previously, when pre-orders for ENHYPEN's 2021 fan meeting DVD opened, some fans noticed that the map of the world used for the design of ENHYPEN's passport goods was a map excluding the country of Japan. As many fans know, ENHYPEN has one Japanese member, Ni-Ki.
In response to the error, a new notice was uploaded on ENHYPEN's official Weverse:
"Hello, this is BeLift Lab and HYBE360.
We would like to update you regarding the issue of the map used for the preview images of the upcoming 'ENHYPEN Fanmeeting [EN-CONNECT] DVD'.
In the preview images for the release of 'ENHYPEN Fanmeeting [EN-CONNECT] DVD', which opened today at 12 PM KST, an incorrect map was used. Although we corrected the error as soon as it was noticed, regardless of the reason, the responsibility over the incorrect may falls on BeLift Lab and HYBE360. We would like to sincerely apologize to all who may have felt discomfort due to this error, including ENGENE.
When we set out to assess the reason for this error in order to prevent any future such occurrences, we found out that the designer searched for an image after typing the keywords 'World Map' and downloaded an image found in a stock image website; afterward, the image was mistakenly used without us realizing that the map was incorrect. The image should have been checked before use, and there should have been correction during the publication process, but we failed to do so."
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN's 2021 fan meeting DVD will be released on June 30.
I don’t think they did it intentionally considering they want enhypen to debut in Japan and they aren’t dumb to loose such a big fan base
And plus they don’t even mistreat Ni-ki? Why should Be:lift do that knowing they will get a lot of backlash? I guess it was just a mistake
