Record Maker and King of Kpop BTS Jimin has made history again and became the first and only Korean soloist to have 3 songs with more than 100 million streams on Spotify.

On November 10, Jimin’s solo song “Filter” has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform. It is Jimin’s third song to have reached such massive number of streams following Lie and Serendipity Full Length Edition.

It can be remembered that Lie is Jimin’s first solo song to record more than 100 million streams on April 27, 2020. It was then followed by another solo song by Jimin which is Serendipity (Full Length Version) which hit the 100 million mark on September 20, 2020.

Lie is a track included on BTS’s second studio album, Wings, officially released on October 10, 2016. Meanwhile, Serendipity was initially released as an introductory song on September 8, 2017 in the EP Love Yourself: Her. Later on the full version was released on August 24, 2018 as one of the tracks of Love Yourself: Answer Album.

Filter has achieved 100 million streams in a short period of time of 262 days only or in less than 9 months from its release on February 21, 2020. It is the first solo song, from MOTS:7, 5th BTS solo and 43rd BTS songto have surpassed more than 100 million streams. Jimin has achieved this feat despite the absence of a music vide for the song.

Filter has previous notable achievements such as the biggest Korean solo song debut on Global Spotify at #33 with 2,217,097 streams.  It is the fastest Korean solo song to surpass 10 million, 20 million, 30 million, 40 million, 50 million, 60 million, 70 million, 80 million, 90 million and 100 million.  It charted on Top 200 of 54 countries and regions on Spotify and is now the most streamed Korean solo song of 2020. 

The fans celebrated this amazing milestone achieved by Jimin and his songs. They showered Jimin with sweet congratulatory messages on SNS using hashtags #FilterByJimin100M, #RecordMakerJimin and #지민아_Filter_1억_축하해.   It immediately trended on South Korea and Worldwide on Twitter.
