BTS Jimin is named as King Choice’s “The King of Kpop” for second year in a row

The long wait is over. The King of Kpop 2020 has been decided.
King Choice, one of the largest Kpop voting website, has officially closed its poll for the King of Kpop 2020 on October 31. BTS Jimin emerged as the winner by a huge margin, as the unbeatable King of Kpop for two years in a row, 2019 and 2020.
Jimin has received great support and amassed enormous number of votes to keep the crown for another year. Jimin ranked first and gathered a massive total of 12,568,794 upvotes in the poll conducted from October 16 to 31, 2020. More than a year ago, Jimin also topped the same poll which was conducted and ended last August 15, 2019 with 1,275,292 votes.
Earlier in May 2020, Jimin also topped King Choice’s Top Male K-pop Idol Dancer Rankings of 2020 with 6,281,147 votes.
Jimin is popular around the world as a member, lead singer and main dancer of world’s top boyband, BTS. He is widely known and loved because of his golden voice and amazing vocal techniques, exceptional dancing skills, ethereal and gorgeous visuals and unmatched charms and presence.
Brand King Jimin is the first and only idol who topped the overall top idol brand reputation ranking for 15 months and boy group member individual brand reputation ranking for 22 consecutive months
and 24 months overall as of October 2020. He is also named as the most preferred idol for two consecutive years through a survey by Gallup, one of the largest most reputable research companies in Korea.

Recently, his 2018 self-composed song “Promise” has reached more than 250M plays on SoundCloud and continued to be the second most streamed song of all time on SoundCloud. Likewise, “Filter” has exceeded more than 96M streams on Spotify, has topped in 110 regions and countries worldwide becoming the BTS solo song that has the greatest number of iTunes Number 1. It has sold 200,000 units in the US, has peaked at No. 1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and Amazon’s Best Selling Song of 2020
(so far).
Jimin’s good deeds have brought positive influence and established a fandom culture of sharing and supporting good causes and worthy organizations. His impact is not limited to the general public but significant public figures and organizations like World Health Organization and UNHCR and also different media outlets from the different parts of the world, a Media Darling.
