Exo's Laydonated 20 million won ( 16,662.27 USD ) to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to help support those affected by the Coronavirus outbreak and left a message:
“We are brothers who transcend blood relations. As neighbors, our hearts are close together. I hope we will overcome this difficulty together. We are brothers, We are one.”
However, this is not the first time the idol has donated to help those fighting the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
According to the published donation list from Wuhan Red Cross, Lay donated 100 thousand RMB ( 14,302.26 USD ) via his studio sometime between Jan 22nd - Jan 28th.
On top of the 100K donation, the generous idol also donated 60,000 face masks to 3 hospitals (20,000 masks each) in Wuhan via his studio. Another additional 8 boxes of medical supplies and 24,000 masks to 3 hospitals & police stations in Hunan and 130,000 masks to grassroots police stations and communities in Wuhan.
