While the falsified votes controversy of "ProduceX101" is becoming more and more serious, the Korea Communications Standards Commission has shared their official stance.
On the afternoon of July 24, the representative of Korea Communications Standards Commission shared with MK Sports, "There have been complaints about the problem related to falsifying votes of the show "ProduceX101" (Mnet). We are considering whether we should investigate the incident related to the show from the above team or not."
On last July 19, the audition program "ProduceX101" (Mnet) closed and held the final ranking announcement. That day, the project group X1 consisting of 11 people selected through the votes of "national producers" had their first opening.
However, right after the show finished broadcasting, rumors related to the voting process have erupted. Audiences and netizens think that the numbers of votes for 20 trainees who entered the live broadcast were repeated in a certain pattern and suspected that maybe the votes were falsified.
In fact, the gap of the final vote results between 1st and 2nd places, between 3rd and 4th places, between 6th and 7th, between 10th and 11th is the same, 29,978 votes. In addition, the gap between numbers of votes also repeated among 119,911 votes, 7,494 votes, 7,495 votes, or 104,922 votes.
While the wave of criticisms is continuing to surge, on the morning of July 24, senator Ha Tae Kyun of Bareun Party expressed through his personal Facebook, "The falsified votes incident of "ProduceX101" is listed as unreasonable recruitment and employment fraud. It can be identified with almost certainty that the voting results were falsified. We need the prosecutors' investigation to reveal the true nature of this matter."
Some fans have established the "Truth Committee" and announced in advance the legal measure against the production crew.
