K-pop guru Park Jin-young, also known as JYP, spared time last week to teach a teenage fan suffering leukemia how to dance as part of a self-initiated social contribution campaign.
The founder of JYP Entertainment ― one of the top-three incubators of K-pop musicians ― invited Kim Ha-eun to his personal training room on June 28 for the event. Kim, 16, is a wannabe singer who has had leukemia since 2016
She was the second beneficiary of Park's "Every Dream Matters!" campaign, which he launched last month in partnership with Make-A-Wish Korea, following another teenage leukemia patient being invited to a GOT7 concert last month to see her idols up close.
Under Park's guidance, Kim sang or danced to songs including ITZY's "Dalla Dalla" and Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself." Following the training, the pair had lunch, during which Park advised how Kim could train herself to become a professional singer.
