On April 25, YG Entertainment quickly stepped up to respond to earlier reports that a YGE business credit card was used in a transaction back in December of 2015, to purchase hotel lodging for former Big Bang member Seungri's "VIP guest".
According to police back on April 24, former Yuri Holdings CEO Yoo In Suk has allegedly confessed to participating in illegal solicitation of prostitutes with Seungri, for their numerous overseas clients. During Yoo In Suk and Seungri's recent interrogation and investigation, one transaction record showed that a hotel room used by a Japanese investor was purchased using a YG Entertainment business credit card.
To this, YGE responded, "This YG Entertainment business credit card in question, which Seungri used back in 2015, is a card that Seungri paid off exclusively on his own; all of the transactions on this card were for Seungri's personal reasons and unrelated to company matters."
Meanwhile, Seungri continues to claim that he does not remember what conversations took place in the Kakao Talk chat rooms which contain mentions of soliciting prostitution. On the other hand, Yoo In Suk has also admitted to keeping in contact with and paying a woman in charge of managing prostitutes.
HOLY COW (if this is verifiable) YGE JUST MADE IT WORSE ON THEMSELVES!!!! My brother owns a small business and employees are allowed to make personal purchases on a company card provided they pay off their stuff (card points actually benefit the company which is why it's common). BUT, the accountant still sees everything and has to verify the purchase; it doesn't matter if it's all personal - it's still on a company card!! Unless there's something in the nature of a YG business card that makes that void?? But why would anyone have a company card that isn't under supervision of the company?? Either YGE is negligent in basic business practices or they knew money was moving back in 2015. IDK..., I just don't know.
