IZ*ONE's Chaeyeon broke down in tears after meeting a special fan.
On April 7, IZ*ONE held a fansign event at CTS Hall in Seoul. The members warmly greeted each of the fans who came to see them. Out of all, Chaeyeon's interaction with one young fan became a hot topic.
According to reports, the young fan's father applied for the fansign event for his daughter and they drove 6 hours to meet the idol stars. Chaeyeon was captured giving two thumbs-up and flashing a bright smile to the fan in a wheelchair.
After the fan left, Chaeyeon was caught wiping away tears.

I know that when people do this they genuinely mean well, but honestly this just comes across as kinda patronizing from the disabled person's point of view. They probably don't want everyone they meet to be crying over their fate, they would prefer just to be treated like any other ordinary human being.
And just to be clear, I don't think that Chaeyeon has done anything wrong here, the interaction with the girl was super cute, I just think that the crying part shouldn't be singled out as something to be praised specifically, which is something that I've seen people do in the past multiple times.
