Jung Joon Young's appointed lawyer for his upcoming trial has raised more questions about the controversial chatroom and its members' alleged ties to police.
On March 22, MBN's 'News 8' reported the singer would be appointed a former, high-ranking prosecutor with a background in public security investigations as his lawyer, and it's raised questions about the lawyer using his previous connections as a prosecutor in Jung Joon Young's favor. Police stated, "Though we're receiving investigation directions from the prosecution, the investigation will not be affected by this just because he's a former prosecutor."
Former president of the Korean Bar Association Kim Hyun commented, "You can use connections to influence the prosecution's investigations if you're currently in the position. This is commonly known."
As previously reported, Jung Joon Young was arrested for filming and distributing sex tapes without consent on March 21 KST.

Still grasping at straws. Since already admitted his offences, smells like trying to get the shortest jail time.
