Has Jeon So Mi taken to Instagram to prove her approval (or disapproval) of fanfics?
On March 2, fans from an online community forum shared a screenshot taken from Jeon So Mi's Instagram story, where the idol wrote, "Jeon So Mi character please re-develop it LOLLLLLLLLLLLL" with a screenshot of a list of IOI fan-fictions on Naver Blogs.
The titles of the fan-fictions were: '[Short Story] Lim Na Young x Kim Do Yeon Heat', 'IOI's Summer Vacation', 'Kim Chung Ha x Jeon So Mi's Rebellion', and 'Jung Chae Yeon x Choi Yoo Jung x Jeon So Mi's Study Session'.
After digging up some contents from the fan-fictions, netizens guessed that Jeon So Mi had probably either wanted her character to be less involved with "BDSM romance", or that she simply had fun reading them. One of the excerpts from the stories involving her character and Kim Chung Ha's character "verged on sexual harassment" according to netizens, as "Jeon So Mi's character only gets submissively beaten".
Therefore, while some still thought Jeon So Mi didn't mind the narrative, a good amount of fans also begged her (or any idol) not to read them.
What do you think Jeon So Mi's real intentions were?
I always find it hilarious when idols read fanfics. Several over the years have admitted to it and Heechul of Super Junior even wrote one about him and Leeteuk. You can google it. He posted it on his instragram years ago and there are screenshots floating around with translations.
