Seventeen has literally destroyed the physical stage with a killer performance.
On January 6th, Seventeen performed "Oh My!", "Clap", and "Getting Closer" as a group during the '33rd Golden Disc Awards'. As they were dancing, the center ground of the main stage portion fell apart, allegedly due to the amount of pressure from their choreography.
After watching the performance, netizens commented: "it would have been a surprise if the stage hadn't ripped", "LOLLLL, omg they have such intense choreography", "Of course, our Seventeen would do that", "I feel like they would break the ground even during the practice", "Artists always say: 'let's tear the stage apart!' for a good performance, and that's exactly what they did".
Furthermore, an audience member later shared that the staff members had to quickly fix the stage afterwards. On the other hand, since the detachable stage pieces also make up the hole in the stage for lifts, some netizens were seriously concerned for the safety of the artists.
However, despite the unfortunate fragility of the stage pieces, all those who were on stage were not harmed. A "Clap" for Seventeen for their ultra powerful moves!
Doesn't that mean the stage isn't very sturdy? What if idols fall because of it? It has already happened in the past.
