It's BTS with a new record again.
This time, the global K-pop boy group smashed a record with 'BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in Seoul.' According to Big Hit Entertainment, the concert film made the “biggest worldwide one-day box office ever for a cinema event.”
'BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in Seoul,' which was filmed on August 26, 2018, at the Olympic Stadium, attracted 1.2 million moviegoers on its one-day release on January 26, reaching $11.7 million worldwide in sales. That's not including the numbers from Korea, which have not been confirmed yet. The admission number is expected to hit 1.3 million with Korea included, according to Big Hit. Additional screenings are scheduled for February 9 and 10.
Prior to this, BTS broke One Direction's record for the highest-grossing event cinema with 'Burn the Stage.'
I went there and amazed to see one old couple, probably around 60s, no kids/grandkids with them; they came just to see BTS. And one girl sitting beside me was sobbing when jungkook sings euphoria😅 I didn’t know what to do. Overall, I enjoyed the show!
