On August 17, Yuehua Entertainment made an official statement regarding Cosmic Girls members Meiqi and Xuanyi, as a heated debate over their continued activities in Chinese project group Rocket Girls arose.
Yuehua revealed, "After a lengthy discussion with Zhou Tian Entertainment, we have achieved a compromise for Meiqi and Xuanyi to continue promoting back and forth between Cosmic Girls and Rocket Girls. Until now, Zhou Tian Entertainment has argued for the two members' activities exclusively in Rocket Girls; however, in order to fulfill the wishes of fans and all those who love Meiqi and Xuanyi in both Korea and China, we came to a decision for their continuation in both groups."
The label continued, "Meiqi and Xuanyi will now return to Rocket Girls to resume their promotions, while also taking part in Cosmic Girls activities. We will maintain efficient communications with Zhou Tian so that we can provide our artists with bigger stages, and Meiqi and Xuanyi will also repay you with good productions."
Now fans of both Cosmic Girls and Rocket Girls can look forward to Meiqi and Xuanyi's activities in both groups.
