BTS "Fake Love" is certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
The RIAA certifies gold to digital singles that have sold 500,000 Units. Each permanent digital download counts as 1 Unit, while 150 on-demand audio and video streams count as 1 Unit.

In February, "DNA" became the second song by BTS to be certified gold, following the group's very first gold-certified track "MIC Drop". Most recently in August, it was announced that "Fake Love" has also been certified gold.
Fans are celebrating the gold certification with #FakeLoveWentGold tweets. The hashtag has also become a worldwide trend thanks to the fans' immense love and support.
