BTS successfully opened their world tour in Seoul.
On August 26, BTS finished their 2-day concert in Seoul to kick off their 2018 'Love Yourself World Tour'. 45,000 ARMYs filled the entire hall of the Olympic Stadium on each day, garnering a total of 90,000 audience members for both days. Rap Monster referred to their new album as a "festival," expressing that it feels as if they are "in their own world just in that stadium".
BTS opened the show with the latest title song "Idol", from the repackaged album of 'Love Yourself: Answer'. J-Hope remarked that the song was about "loving yourself no matter what other people say", and that he would describe the song to be a "very Korean, yet global piece of music". The main dancer also revealed that the choreography mixed elements from both the African Gwara Gwara dance and the Korean traditional dance.
Speaking on their solo pieces, Jungkook commented that he wanted to do a "happier song" this time around. As much as his solo was the 1st track on the album, Jungkook confessed that he recorded it "over and over again" to perfectly capture the listeners from the start.
After this 2-day concert, BTS will begin their overseas leg of their sold-out world tour. Best of luck to BTS!
