Triple H held their comeback showcase at Blue Square Market Hall in Yongsan-gu Seoul on July 18. The group talked about their comeback at the showcase. According to Triple H, the album derives its inspiration from the actual concept of "Retro Futurism", which is a creative artistic trend that shows the influences of futurism. For Triple H in particular, they used the "Retro Futurism" of the 1950's and 1960's. The group says they were able to find a novel style in the past, rather than utilizing the current trends today.
HyunA and E'Dawn, who were co-producers of the title song 'Retro Future', said, "Our title song 'Retro Future' is a song that embodies retro sexiness and has a catchy killing part." In addition, HyunA expressed how she wanted to show off a more "healthy sexy for the summer" whereas E'Dawn stressed the importance of his childhood and wild imagination in the creation of their new album.
What was surprising was that Hui, who is dubbed as a "Genius Composer" did not participate in the production of any of the songs. This was because he was buried in work for a composition competition during April and May. Hui commented, "I felt sorry. I thought that if I couldn't concentrate 100% on production, it would hurt us. In hindsight, perhaps I could've been greedier."
However, the group showed great satisfaction in their new mini-album. Hui said the chemistry and synchronization for Triple H is "amazing"!
