Holland shared the details on the kiss scene, his relationship status, and more.
The 22-year-old gay K-Pop star engaged in an exclusive interview with Gay Star News in light of his comeback with twin single "I'm Not Afraid" and "I'm So Afraid".
The MV for "I'm Not Afraid' garnered a lot of attention, especially for the 15-second long kiss scene. Holland told Gay Star News, "Even though I was nervous, I just thought that I should listen to the director as much as possible and finish it all at once."
He revealed the scene took four takes. On YouTube initially giving the MV an R rating, Holland commented, "Maybe YouTube thought long homosexual kissing was inappropriate for children."
The singer also opened up about the struggles of growing up gay in South Korea. He shared he was bullied in school, and even contemplated suicide but overcame the hardship with help from the English-speaking entertainment industry. Holland said, "I thought I wanted to be that kind of person. And I am (now) achieving my dream."
When asked about his relationship status, Holland responded, "I am single and so lonely," and that, "I'm waiting for a nice guy."
