Each of the 9 members of TWICE sat down for a unique interview with 'Ceci' magazine as the cover models of the spring edition May issue.
During their interviews, members Sana and Momo discussed TWICE's popularity in Japan. Momo first shared, "After we debuted in Japan, the most surprising thing was that my friends from my younger school days contacted me. My parents usually watch me on Korean TV, but they welcomed and found it cool that I was also coming out on Japanese TV."
How did Momo feel about appearing on NHK's 'K?haku Uta Gassen' ('Year-end Song Festival')? She said, "It was something I never even imagined, and when I thought about going on a stage that all Japanese who hope to become singers want to go on, I was unbelievably thankful. I thought that I should do an even better job of taking care of my members since they always helped me a lot in Korea. But I'm not a very good speaker, so I'm working harder."
Sana added, "My parents liked [seeing me on Japanese TV too], but my grandmother was the happiest. We video chat often, and she told me, 'Thank you for allowing me to live so happily'. She also sent me pictures of the TV with me in it. I think it's amazing too, but I'm even more proud that my family enjoys it."
