Reporter Kang states the phone conversation with Jo Min Ki took place about 3 hours before his death. He explained, "Apologizing to the victims was the first thing so he wasn't able to express his apologetic mind to his family yet. On today's call, he was especially sorry to his daughter."
An audio recording of their conversation was played, in which Jo Min Ki said, "I was told to come on the 6th (for questioning) but I delayed the date because of my daughter's college entrance ceremony."
Reporter Kang asked why he was calling from an unknown number and Jo Min Ki answered, "My phone has been confiscated."
Reporter Kang also pointed out that Jo Min Ki made phone calls to many of his colleagues, and also apologized for disappointing them. It's assumed Jo Min Ki was sharing his farewells before death.
In the afternoon of March 9, Jo Min Ki was found dead in the storage room of an apartment basement by his wife. The actor was being investigated for numerous sexual harassment accusations.
