tvN, the official broadcasting station for 'Hwayugi', and JS Pictures, the official production company for the drama, have issued a joint statement of apology regarding the staff injury accident which occurred this past December 23, among other matters.

tvN and JS Pictures began, "Regarding issues in production, broadcasting, and related topics of drama 'Hwayugi', including the set accident on December 23, the broadcast errors in episode 2 aired on December 24, the changes in broadcast schedules, and more - we bow our heads in deep apology, in all aspects. Most importantly, we sincerely apologize to the staff member who suffered such an unfortunate accident on the filming set, and to the staff member's family. tvN and JS Pictures greatly realize the severity of this accident."
To regroup and provide a better working environment for the 'Hwayugi' staff, the broadcasting station and the production company additionally announced a 1-2 day vacation for the entire staff, to be carried out soon. Furthermore, the drama will be partnering up with at least one more new CG/special effects agency to fix any and all inadequate portions of the drama's visual quality. Previously, the drama also announced the addition of a new director to its staff. Finally, the staff will be enlisting the help of an external safety management agency for consultations.
The statement then continued, "We have spent time regrouping and supplementing various aspects of the staff's working standards, schedules, etc. Beginning Saturday, January 6, 'Hwayugi' will be broadcast regularly with episode 3."
