On October 26, WINNER's Lee Seung Hoon and Kim Jin Woo appeared in a 'V Live +' broadcast from their home to chat with fans.
Lee Seung Hoon started off by saying, "Let's look at the comments with Jin Woo hyung's phone... the phone that got hacked today." He continued, "We heard the sad news that Jin Woo hyung's phone got hacked earlier... The act of hacking itself is wrong, but Jin Woo-sshi, did you suffer from mental damage due to it?"
The younger WINNER member went on to explain how the hacker used Kim Jin Woo's Instagram to comment on other SNS users' posts, which caused issues for those other users as well after fans saw that Kim Jin Woo had supposedly commented on their pages. After recommending that Kim Jin Woo use a mixture of capital and lowercase letters, special characters, etc, for his new password, Lee Seung Hoon added, "The person probably didn't like you very much anyway, hyung. They had malicious intentions."
Finally, Lee Seung Hoon said, "I understand you all's curiosities. But please don't do that from now on," and let out some of his frustration about being a celebrity and not being able to talk about such matters so openly.
Fans of WINNER on online communities have been spreading the word that if YG Entertainment does not take legal actions for the hacking, as well as malicious rumors and posts about Kim Jin Woo due to the hacking incident, then they will step up to file a lawsuit for WINNER.
