1.
Daejeon Rhythm Gangster x Taeyang
One of the most well-known duets from Fantastic Duo is the R&B king, Taeyang, himself accompanied by a fantastic vocalist who goes by the name of Rhythm Gangster. Taeyang, prior to this performance, had never sung with a female vocalist before, but there's a first time for everything! They both nailed this performance of "Eyes, Nose, Lips"!
2.
Kim Bumsoo x Fishcake Girl
Schoolgirl Kim Dami (Fishcake Girl) proved that you should never judge a book by its cover in her duet with Kim Bumsoo, resident MC of Fantastic Duo. Their synchronization in their rendition of "I Miss You" is stupendous and their harmonies are on another level! The pair have voices that blend effortlessly and their harmonies are unparalleled! Someone give Kim Dami a record deal!
3.
Ailee x Achasan Ice Cream Girl
Ailee and Achasan Ice Cream Girl did a powerful rendition of Ailee's song, "Heaven," for the show! Ice Cream Girl worked hard to earn her spot, beating out two other divas in the 1:3 competition. The pair complement each other perfectly and perform like old friends at karaoke! Our favorite part of the performance is the bit at the end, but we don't want to spoil the surprise, so watch for yourself!
4.
SISTAR x Son Kyungjin
Young girl Son Kyungjin stunned audience members with her incredible high note in her duet with the members of SISTAR. The group performed "Crying" live and jaws dropped with her ability to harmonize effortlessly as if she was the fifth member of the group! Netizens love Son Kyungjin with some even comparing her singing style to Lee Hi.
5.
Lee Sunhee x Kim Yejin
Though Lee Sunhee is an older singer who isn't necessarily fitting the bill of a K-Pop star, her warm, lyric-soprano voice has won her Singer of the Year at the KBS Music Awards 9 times. Many K-Pop fans don't know that she's often referred to as the National Diva and the Queen of Female Vocalists. High schooler Kim Yejin and Lee Sunhee's duet of "I Always Miss You" sounds similar to a lovely mother-daughter duet and we can't help but listen to Lee Sunhee draw out those long notes!
6.
Daesung x Wrestling Queen
Daesung and Wrestling Queen did a lovely and enthusiastic duet of "Look at Me, Gwisoon!" Though many know Daesung for his incredible ballad-singing abilities, the track chosen was of the trot variety! This trot duet between fan and idol brings a huge smile to our face as we watch the two of them excitedly dance and sing to the uptempo track!
7.
IU x Mart Sheriff
This fantastic version of "You and I" performed by IU and a fan aptly named, Mart Sheriff, is one of the prettiest melodies of the show! This particular song marked a pivotal point in IU's career and the addition of a male voice layer on her ethereal one is absolute bliss to listen to. The pair's chemistry is undeniable.
8.
EXO x Jeolla Red Pants Girl
Suho, Baekhyun, D.O, Chanyeol, Xiumin, and Chen show up on Fantastic Duo to collaborate on their track "Love Me Right" with none other than Jeolla Red Pants Girl! The song's progression is changed up a bit for performance, but our Red Pants Girl kills the choreography and the song! The performance is fun and eccentric, and with EXO around, when is anything boring?
9.
Jo Sungmo x Shrimp Burger Prince
Shrimp Burger Prince (Ryu Yong Hyun) works part-time at a shrimp burger place, but that doesn't stop him from showing off his vocal abilities when singing with Jo Sungmo on his song "To Your Side" from the 2004 'Lovers in Paris' OST. The track has an incredibly difficult vocal range for two male singers, but the duo absolutely blow the audience away with their powerful rendition and singing power! From falsetto to harmony, this performance hits every nail on the head.
10.
Yoon Mirae x Gye MinA
On Yoon Mirae aka Tasha's track Black Happiness, fan, Gye Mina, destroyed the competition to win that final duet with her. Instead of focusing on singing, the duo focused on delivering spitfire raps. Gye Mina even included emotional lyrics over the original ones about her father being sick and her mother passing away. The duet harbors a multitude of feelings for each artist and is an extremely raw and honest performance.
