According to one media outlet, Kang Ha Neul apparently spent the last two days before his enlistment with his family and IU. The media outlet stated that with two days before his enlistment, Kang Ha Neul spent September 9 with his family and on September 10, he spent time with IU at a cafe. After the rumors of dating started popping up, Kang Ha Neul denied the dating rumor.

One of the workers from the cafe spoke up, "Kang Ha Neul and IU did come to the cafe together with other people/friends but they were the only celebrities. They were here for about 2 hours while drinking then left."

A representative of Kang Ha Neul said, "It is true he met IU. However, they are not dating. After working together in a drama, they became good friends." Kang Ha Neul also said, "IU and I are just friends. We are both aware of the dating rumor, if there are photos where it's just the two of us, I would like to see them as well."

Kang Ha Neul will be enlisting on September 11.
