According to reports, back in May, Lay hired an agent to purchase airplane tickets on two occasions for 11,050 yuan and 11,815 yuan, totaling 22,865 yuan (~$3,500). Allegedly, the idol's agent failed to pay the full amount, and furthermore, continued to refuse payment, which led to the company demanding 26,235 yuan (~$4,000) for additional financial losses.

In response to the reports, Lay's Chinese representative stated,
"Our Studio staff purchased the air tickets from an agent named Liu Quan. The Studio staff made the full payment for the tickets. However, Liu Quan did not pay the amount to the companies that issued those air tickets. We currently have lost contact with him.
So far, we have no notice from the court or the plaintiff. Should we receive any notice from the court, we will pay the subject fees to the plantiff first, followed by taking actions that will hold Liu Quan accountable. Your care and love for Zhang Yixing is greatly appreciated. The above is what we know about this issue so far. The Studio is investigating for the truth and will handle this issue in a serious manner based on facts."
