The 'Yin Yue Tai V-Chart Awards' usually takes place in Beijing, but due to the THAAD issue blocking Korean celebrities in China, the award ceremony was moved to Macau, which is a special administrative region and Korean celebrities aren't blocked there.
As the group celebrated their 5th anniversary, EXO were the big winners as they won numerous awards. They won the award for the "Most influential group in Asia."
Sehun won the "Most Popular Artist."
Chanyeol won the "Most Popular Korean Artist" and "Best Collaboration."
Lay wasn't unable to attend but he won "Best Male Artist" and "Album of the Year."
EXO's hoobaes from NCT also took home some awards. NCT 127 won "Best New Artist" and "Most Popular Group of the Year."
NCT Dream took home "Top Promising Group."
It wasn't just an SM party as other Korean artists won as well. T-ara won the "Best Korean Group" award and Hyomin won "Best Korean Female Artist."
BTS won "Best Stage Performance."
JYJ's Jaejoong won "Best Male Artist."
VIXX won the "Hot Group Trend of the Year."
